Josh asked: “George and Nancy had a $30,000 repair bill on their home after the tornado went through town. Their policy contained the usual 80% co-insurance clause. Their home’s replacement value was $150,000; their policy coverage was $110,000 with a $250 deductible.”
a. How much insurance should they have carried to meet the coinsurance obligation?
b. What percentage of this loss will the insurance company pay?
c. How much of the loss will George and Nancy have to absorb? (Show all work.)
If anybody wants to help me out a little that would be great it’s the last one on a review and I don’t quite know what to do.

I really like own houses and learning about them, how to pay for them and how to maintain them. I really have a passion in real estate and my parents already have a house which they would give to me when I start earning money. I would be making about 100k by the time I am 23 but I really want to buy a second house which would be a two family house. I am really willing to make the sacrifices to maintain this house so that I would soon break even with the rent from my first house and the other portion rents from the second house. I am hoping to save money for 2-4 years when I am 23 so that I could buy a house right away. These two houses would hopefully help me earn more money so that I could save up and then buy a very nice one when I am 35-38. But I am willing to just live happily with my future just normally while I am saving money. I mean thats what my uncle did, now he has 3 houses, 2 two family houses and 1 very nice one family house. I really want to use my parent’s house so that I could make more money and then live luxuriously later so that my parents would be proud of me. Please give me advice so that I could fulfill my desires.

I am going to get my masters in Physicians Assistant in a couple of years and I am going to go into Cardiovascular Surgery as a Physician Assistant when im 23 years old. They make about 120k+. However I don’t plan on getting married until 28… I realized its better to be older before getting into a real relationship. But I want to know what side business I could open up and focus on after my shift as a PA is over. When im 23 and I would have payed off my loans because Im going to work part time as a PA when im 21. I will also take out a 150k home equity loan on my parents house, Yes i understand the risks but I will pay off the payment of about 2.5k every month myself. I’m going to take out the loan as a downpayment on a 2 family house. That mortgage will be likely payed off using the rent income from my house, trying my best to keep intents in there. But I plan on selling the house after maybe 10 years hoping to get 300k for a downpayment on a bigger house. But what type of business Could i do ? My uncle has a very successful limo service making millions yearly and my other uncle owns 2 two family houses and is very successful. Any advice for me?

I have a small home-based business and do not have money to spend on expensive software or monthly subscriptions. I would prefer to use something online that doesn’t require me to download anything so I can access it from any computer and my phone. Are there any truly free programs like this?

I got accepted into a Physician Assistant Program for Undergraduate. I know that they make about 80-100k if I go into surgery. I am also thinking about going into medical or dental school so that I could go into surgery/maxillofacial surgery and do expensive ****** treatments. But I don’t really like to work super hard, because after going to a very hard high school, I decided its not worth it. But my plan is to become a physician assistant in surgery by about age 23 and then to buy a two family house when I am 25 so that I could get rent income. I also have my parent’s house which I would probably convert to a two family also so I could get even more profit. I realized that by the time I am 30-32 I could afford to buy a luxurious house and then live a nice life because of all the rent income I get without having to work that hard at all. What do you think? Do you think I could just rely on real estate instead of going into dental/medical school?
