I am currenly employed as a licensed personal banker, and am considering changing professions. I am currenly getting paid 42k base salary plus commision, but Finance is not where my heart is. I need to know if i can survive, so i am asking if anyone knows in detail. I need a a rough estimate of how much i will make.

I want a career working with the stock market and personal finances. Moving to Wall Street is not an option, I live in Michigan. Where can I find programs that will give me the qualifications needed to get a stock market/finance career. Most colleges offer accounting degrees but I am having a hard time finding personal finance/stock market degrees.

How many of you out there have done well with your financial adviser?

I’d like to know how many of you out there has done well with your financial adviser/manager?

I do my own personal finances and I have to admit I’m fairly conservative. My retirement accounts are in target retirement accounts, and cash in tax free money market and CD’s

My loss has been in the 20% range while my friends who have so called professional money managers have taken losses in the 50% range, on top of what they pay them!

Any opinions?
